Australian reaffirms he wanted Gunners move.

Fulham goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer has refused to rule out a January transfer to Arsenal.

The Cottagers' shot-stopper was being pursued by the Gunners during the summer, as they offered him a player-coach role. But the west London club turned away their north London counterparts' approaches, despite the 38-year-old having publicly spoken of a desire to make the move.

Now, however, the Australian remains coy about what the future might hold for him.

When quizzed as to whether he could join Arsenal in January, Schwarzer told Sky Sports: "Who knows, we will have to wait and see.

"I'm very happy at Fulham. The supporters have been unbelievable and I've enjoyed every minute.

"It's been a very hectic two months or so and the fans have been great to me. I am enjoying my football again."

Schwarzer added: "I think when you look at the opportunity that was in front of me, I don't think anyone can begrudge me exploring that opportunity.

"The club actually asked me if I was interested in exploring the opportunity, and I was. I'm not getting any younger, unfortunately, and you always want to better yourself."
