Juventus Want Arsenal Keeper Vito Mannone
Juventus are reportedly interested in signing Arsenal keeper Vito Mannone. The Turin club are looking for a long term replacement for Gianluigi Buffon and have earmarked a move for the Emirates youngster who is currently the Italian Under 21 first choice goalie.
The former Atalanta youth team player is on loan at Championship side Hull City and is seemingly no nearer to getting regular football with the Gunners and may well jump at the chance of a move back to Italy. He would realise that a move to Juventus would involve playing second fiddle to Buffon for some time before he got his break but may feel that a preferable option to doing likewise at Arsenal.
Ironically enough Juve’s current second choice is a former Arsenal man who equally found it hard to get a run in the first team. Alex Manninger has been at the club for the past two seasons but may be ready to leave the club in order to find first team football elsewhere, at 33 he may feel the time for bench warming is at an end.
